Day One of BRAN takes riders on an unforgettable 75-mile journey from Oshkosh to Sutherland, with part of the route following Highway 92 along the northern side of Lake McConaughy. Known locally and affectionately as “Big Mac,” this stunning reservoir is a highlight of western Nebraska and an iconic part of the state’s landscape.

  • A Remarkable Feat of Engineering: The lake was formed by Kingsley Dam, one of the largest hydraulically filled earthen dams in the world when it was completed in 1941. It stands 162 feet tall and stretches over 3 miles long!
